International Anime Fair 2012 Held in Tokyo

One of the largest animation fairs in the world trade center took place in Tokyo, Japan, featuring millions of works of anime from Japan and abroad. The annual expo "Tokyo International Anime Fair" organized by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the Association of Japanese animation, opened on Thursday (22/3). The event was held at Tokyo Big Sight during the two days, from today until tomorrow (23/3).

This year the event was canceled due to the earthquake and tsunami that struck the Iwate prefecture, Japan March 11 last year. Therefore, temo expo this year is slightly different, namely "Reconstruction of Disaster."
In the event the mascot dolls "Att-kun", the sculpture will be displayed a lot of anime characters that have been repaired because of damage from disasters. Also anime magazines featuring views of post-disaster.

A total of 216 companies, both from within and outside Japan participated in this exhibition. 48 companies and organizations including animation and manga online distributor of Chinese origin. Hitoshi Suzuki committee members hope the event can have great significance for Chinese companies by giving them firsthand knowledge of the Japanese animation industry, such as how it differs from them.

Visitors can also purchase items and character animation on the market and booths are provided and can see the history of Japanese anime in the booth The Japan Manga and Animation Museum.
